At present, terminal blocks are widely used in frequency converters, transformers and other fields of power equipment. However, there are high requirements for voltage resistance, high temperature resistance, strength and other aspects of terminal products. Therefore, there are certain technical requirements for terminal materials, external surface smoothness and other aspects.

Requirements for terminal blocks in power equipment

1. In terms of metal material selection, it shall be made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, copper or copper alloy with good conductivity, or other suitable materials. On the basis of good conductivity and lower energy consumption, the mechanical strength shall also meet the technical requirements of the equipment.

2. In terms of the appearance of the terminal block, the contact surface should be clean and free of cracks, obvious scars, burrs, corrosion stains, concave convex defects and other defects that affect the electrical contact and mechanical strength.

In addition, there shall be no air hole, sand hole, crack and other defects in the contact surface and connection hole of the cast terminal block. In addition, the connection surface of the terminal block shall be flat, and its connection hole shall be free of burrs.

Precautions: Burrs on the terminal surface and at the connection port are common problems of inferior terminal blocks. When purchasing terminal blocks, careful inspection should be carried out to avoid affecting equipment operation after use.

3. When the test is conducted under the ambient temperature of 10 ℃ to 40 ℃, the temperature rise of the terminal shall not exceed the provisions of the corresponding equipment standards. Due to the different operating environment of each high-voltage equipment, the allowable temperature rise value of the terminal is also different. When the equipment leaves the factory, the terminal blocks shall be equipped with supporting fasteners for boundary, such as nuts, bolts and washers. It shall also have anti loosening design. When connecting equipment terminals or connecting equipment terminals with high-voltage power system, it is recommended to tighten them with a wrench.
