What is terminal aging test? Aging test methods and standards for terminal blocks

Terminal block is a kind of accessory product used to realize electrical connection. Its application scope and types are more and more. At present, it is widely used in electric power engineering control, machine equipment control, automatic control, intelligent security control, instrument equipment and other industries!

What is terminal aging test?

Terminal block aging test: to judge the service life of the terminal block. Fast aging leads to short service life, while slow aging leads to long service life. The terminal aging test can effectively evaluate the product quality by detecting the electrical connection quality of the product.

Aging test methods and standards for terminal blocks

1. Install five terminal blocks horizontally on a guide rail, and connect them with wires with rated sectional area. The connecting wires shall be at least 300 mm long, and then measure the voltage drop of each terminal block;

2. The lower limit and upper limit of temperature in the aging chamber are set to 20 ℃ and 75 ℃ respectively;

3. The rated current flows through the heating stage and the continuous stage 10 minutes after reaching a higher temperature, so that the test piece will reach the allowable higher working temperature. Here we should clearly know that the higher maximum temperature is 120 ℃.

4. Next is the cooling process. In the cooling state after every 24 heating and cooling cycles, measure the voltage drop once. The whole test process has 192 cycles.

5. The voltage drop before the test shall not exceed 3.2mV, the voltage drop during and after the test shall not exceed 4.8mV, and the measured value after 24 cycles shall not exceed 1.5 times of the initial value before the test.
